REQUIREMENTS FOR ASSISTANCE AND INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW:
First read ALL the "General Requirements for Help" on the Who Can We Help page. You MUST meet these requirements.
If you do, then read the specific requirements below to make sure you qualify for this program. MAKE CERTAIN YOU READ 2. A-G BELOW REGARDING WHAT WE ARE PROHIBITED FROM ASSISTING WITH.
1. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR ANY UTILITY HELP SUCH AS A WATER BILL, DO NOT APPLY HERE BUT THROUGH OUR LETíS KEEP THE LIGHTS ON PROGRAM WHICH IS FOR ALL UTILITIES.
We don't do a lot of assistance outside our main programs but if you want to ask us about whether we can help with a particular request, then please email us a few sentences re: your request before filling out an Application.
2. There are some things we are prohibited from helping with and the list is below. Please do not apply for assistance for any of the following.
a. Education Costs (Tuition/Student Loans/Books etc.), Professional Tests or Certification Related Expenses
b. Property Tax Bills; Home Down Payment; Closing Fees
c. Funeral Expenses
d. Legal Fees, Traffic Tickets, Car Impounding costs/repossession fees/costs of redemption once car is repossessed
e. Wheelchairs or ramps, lift chairs, or wheelchair accommodated vehicles.
f. Debt owed to the government, collection agencies and credit card companies etc.
g. HOME REPAIR OR HOME IMPROVEMENTS, THIS INCLUDES FURNACES, WATER HEATERS, SEWER LINES, ROOFS, WINDOWS, ALL APPLIANCE PURCHASES OR REPAIRS. ANYTHING RELATED TO REPAIR OF THE HOME OR THE YARD.
h. Extermination or fumigation and anything related to bed bugs
i. We may be able to assist with a car note but only if the total amount you are behind is for no more than one month and the amount owed is no more than $500.00. We can assist with one month only. You must have car insurance in place. We do not assist with car insurance.
j. Any Medical Related Bills/Equipment and Dental bills
k. Hotel, Motel payments and moving expenses and storage fees and closing costs on the purchase of a home.
3. Please make sure you are not applying for something that is a Program we have in place and one for which you don't meet the requirements. For example, you can't request a used vehicle when you are not working since we have the Working Cars for Working People program wherein one must be employed to qualify.

PLEASE NOTE FOR ALL UTILITY ASSISTANCE (NOT JUST FOR ELECTRICITY) APPLY TO OUR LETíS KEEP THE LIGHTS ON PROGRAM AND NOT THIS PROGRAM. Again, email us first before filling out an Application as we don't want to waste your time if we can't assist.
